Bath Masters recently completed a bathroom renovation at a historic home in Johnson City, TN. Built in 1921, this home's challenge was bringing a modern and elegant design to the master bath upstairs.
Following our free consultation, we were delighted to work with the client who wanted to remodel this spacious 14x9 bathroom completely. We had to remove a large jacuzzi tub and redesign the interior flow to accommodate a large walk-in shower and a stand-alone tub with new cabinetry.
One of the biggest challenges with this project was what we discovered after carefully removing the debris and tile work from the old bath.
Underneath the floor, we found compromised flooring with decades of water damage. Our carpenters worked to replace all rotten joists and build new flooring for the bathroom.
With the flooring secure, we proceeded to reframe the entire bathroom anew to allow for a free and easy flow to all the amenities of this plan.
When you first enter the bathroom, there's a tall open linen storage area just to your right and an elegant Ove' stand-alone tub with a 2-in-one shower feature ready for long baths.
The shower is spacious with a twin-hinged glass door, a custom shower seat, and unique niches right next to the rain head water feature. A short reach to your warm heated towel rack is outside the door.
To the left is one of the best solid wood vanities on the market. This Thomasville twin vanity has gorgeous grains and a beautiful custom granite countertop.
The oil-rubbed bronze-style handles are matched with Delta oil-rubbed bronze water features and matching accessories to give the home a warm accent.
Finally, this historic home's new flooring and accompanying tile open a spacious spa-like experience in this local bath remodel. The tile is full-body porcelain on the floor and has mosaic tile inlays inside the shower.
The team at Bath Masters was glad to work on such a unique project as this restoration. We wish our client's family the best in the future, and they will enjoy this new bath for years to come.
